Next Race – TBA, 2013 7.30pm
Well weren’t we lucky – the heavy rain in Sheffield missed us in Hathersage and we had a “dry” gala fell race which is a miracle given the recent British summer weather! We were slightly down on numbers from last year but all who entered seemed to enjoyed it. The winning times were also a bit slower than in previous years reflecting the heavier going under foot.
Putting on the race is always rewarding, hard work and it wouldn’t have been possible without the help we received from the following; Hathersage St Michael’s School for the use of the grounds and classroom, St Johns for providing us with 1st Aid, all the various helpers and marshalls, and finally the Gala committee and Ali Hartley in particular. So a big thank you from the organising team (Penny, Kirsty, Mo, Hilary, Nick, John and Simon) to all the helpers.

Start 7.30pm
Entry fee £5.00 on the night only. Register at the school field, School Lane, Hathersage. There is very limited parking near the school, please park in the village car park (map), which is only 5 minutes walk away, and share transport if possible.
Age limit: 16 years or over on 1st January

Thanks for the race Simon and to all helpers. It's the first time in all these years I've done the Gala race- not sure why- it's a crackin' little course.
